Calendar — Pop-Up Poem Book by Éva Somogyi

"This 3D poem-book created by pop-up technique was inspired by the twentieth-century Hungarian poet Miklós Radnóti’s lyrical cycle titled Calendar. The spatial compositions in the twelve spreads are linked to the main theme – the changes in nature with the seasons of the year. The whole cycle is about the changes and movements take place in nature. The small paper creations reflect the atmosphere and cyclical nature of the seasons in a clear but lyric and sensitive way – as the poems it selves do. Except in case of the typography I consciously used no colours but accidental lights, shadows and contrasts in order to create a smooth harmony of colours."

and Jaymay. Reminds me of the days where  I only listen to indie acoustic songs that has only a hint of melody/climax

Soundtrack of a still night with stale air: Jason Mraz

For a feature in Canadian trade magazine Retail News that discusses the pitfalls of close employer-employee relations. I got lucky with these colours I think.

I hope Robin Davey doesn’t mind me making a gifset of his fantastic animated gifs.  I just discovered him and wowoWOWOW.

A quick vanity reblog in celebration of National Burger Day here in the UK (I had pizza). Thanks to Carororo for putting this gif set together, they look lush!

For Wired Italia again, this time for an article on the prospect of an interstellar ark: basically a giant spaceship that could support human life through many generations on the journey to our nearest star. I think I was influenced here by a couple of weird sci-fi films that I probably saw at too young and impressionable an age, Silent Running and Saturn 3. No I don’t know why they’re naked.
EDIT: Tumblr fixed it’s GIF uploader so I’ve been able to update with a (slightly) better quality version. Oh and I remembered why they’re naked, it’s an Adam and Eve type deal obviously.
